In line with this commitment, the university has established a Charity cum Scholarship Policy to support students belonging to various categories including meritorious, financially needy, children of armed forces personnel, and single-parent households. This policy aims to ensure that no deserving student is deprived of education due to financial constraints. Final approval of scholarships is subject to the Chairperson's discretion. Scholarship Categories:

1. Meritorious Scholarships: - This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in their previous examinations. - Eligibility criteria may include maintaining a certain GPA or scoring above a specified percentile in entrance exams. - Meritorious scholarships may cover a portion or the entirety of tuition fees based on the level of academic achievement. - Students scoring 90% and above marks in High Secondary examinations are eligible for a 50% discount on prescribed fees.

2. Financially Needy Scholarships: - These scholarships are intended for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. - Eligibility is determined based on family income, with preference given to students from low-income households. - Financially needy scholarships may cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, and other essential expenses. - Students coming from government schools are eligible to receive a 20% direct fee concession in the financially needy category.

3. Armed Forces Scholarships: - Children of active or retired armed forces personnel are eligible for this scholarship. - This scholarship honors the sacrifices made by armed forces families and aims to support their educational aspirations. - It may cover a percentage of tuition fees or provide financial assistance for other educational expenses. - Students from armed forces backgrounds are eligible to receive scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% in different courses. - Additionally, two (02) seats reserved in each course for the wards of Veer Naris, Widows, Disabled Soldiers & ESM, serving/ retired personnel.

4. Single Parent Child Scholarships: - This scholarship is available to students who are raised by a single parent or guardian due to various circumstances such as divorce, death, or abandonment. - It aims to alleviate the financial burden on single-parent households and enable their children to pursue higher education. - Eligibility may require providing documentation proving single-parent status. Application and Selection Process: - Interested students must apply for scholarships. - Each scholarship category will have specific eligibility criteria and documentation requirements. - A scholarship committee comprising university faculty and administrators will review applications and select recipients based on merit and need. - Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview or provide additional documentation for verification purposes. - The final selection of scholarship recipients will be based on the committee's assessment.
